Congrats to our Junior High Lady Cats Volleyball team for winning 1st place at the Loraine Lady Dawgs Junior High tournament this weekend!
The JH pep rally will start at 3:15 this Thursday, September 17th. Please come out and support our JH athletes as well as showing support for Childhood Cancer Awareness month.
Pep Rally today will be in the Competition Gym at 3:10. The gate will open at 3:00pm for spectators to come in!
Glow sticks will be sold tomorrow for $3 each!!!!

ASU financial aid office will also be available after to give scholarship tips and how to complete your FASFA (Federal financial aid form)
Booster club is asking for volunteers to help run concession stands during home football games on Thursday and Friday nights. We would greatly appreciate your help in supporting our students!!!

Please keep in mind, ApplyTexas will have a free week in October, that all colleges in Texas that accept ApplyTexas applications, have to waive their application fee per Texas Administrative Code. However, I know many of you are eager to start applying. I hope this document will help. If you have any questions please reach out to Mrs. Colwell. Seniors, Mrs. Colwell emailed you on 8/27/2026 about weighted vs unweighted gpa information for applications. Please check your email.

Updated Pep Rally schedule for the football games this week!!!
Deadline to register for the Sept. 12th SAT test is August 28th. Juniors and Seniors you can take this test as many times as you would like. Juniors, I highly recommend taking it early in your Junior year to get a baseline and see where you are. Higher SAT/ACT scores help you receive more scholarships and high college admission rates. Make sure you have filled out your free/reduced lunch application at school as that can help you get a discount (Test costs $68 each time you take it). San Angelo Central High School and ASU (you can choose when you register) are both offering testing on Sept. 12th at 8:00 a.m. You must register through SAT site: https://satsuite.collegeboard.org/. You will have to make payment when you register. You can download paper practice tests from the website as well as take online practice tests. If you have any questions email or stop by and visit with Mrs. Colwell (Water Valley will be giving the ACT test to all Juniors in the spring at no cost to students.)
