Art Exhibition Statement
The "Visionary" Art Exhibition contains a variety of studies from the Water Valley Artist Society of Water Valley ISD. This collective art exhibition, from Junior High School and High School artists, includes a variety of studies ranging from direct observation drawings, paintings, and prints, to mixed media paintings and sculpture. Our art department focuses on the elements of art and principles of design while pursuing individualized visual content through art making. The purpose of the art exhibition is to share our art programs' multi-leveled approaches to making art and to further the content and conversation concerning the artworks to the surrounding learning community. Our art department focuses on interdisciplinary engagements connecting art to history, science, and literary elements. This exhibition fuses visual artistic study with poetry and narrative writings, along with adherence to process and content-driven artistic studies to connect the work to critical thinking and visual problem solving. The program’s art instructor, Christopher Voss, Terminal M.F.A. Texas Tech University curated the art exhibition.

Important Update: Parent Contact Information for New Communication Platform
Water Valley ISD will soon begin using Rooms, a new two-way communication platform designed to improve how teachers and staff connect with parents and guardians. Rooms will integrate with the Water Valley App! Please make sure you have the Water Valley App downloaded as well!
Rooms will pull contact information directly from your Ascender Parent Portal account. To ensure you receive important messages, please take a moment to review and update your contact information:
Each guardian should have their own email and cell phone number listed. If you're currently sharing an email or phone number with your spouse or another guardian, please update it so each person has a separate, accurate contact.
Avoid using landlines. Make sure the phone numbers listed are mobile numbers so you can receive texts and app notifications.
We will no longer be using Remind as of July 31st, 2025. All school communication will transition to Rooms after that date, so it is essential that your information in Ascender is current and accurate.
Thank you for your attention to this important update and for helping us improve school-to-home communication!
