Then it was Financial Fun with Superintendent Fabian Gomez, where Mr. Gomez broke down school finances in a way that actually made cents! 💰😄

The dual credit department will be at Water Valley to explain the expectations of dual credit, the use of AI (Chap gpt) and consequences, the role of the proctor/school, and be able to answer questions. This meeting will be about 30 min and she will only be here today as ASU is about to start classes as well and their schedule is very hectic. Please make every effort to attend.

🚨Oops! We goofed! When online registration went live today we mistakenly released some secondary schedules prematurely. Our super star counselor and registrars are still finalizing student schedules, so there are a few that are still incomplete or incorrect. 🫢 Please disregard any schedules accessed today through the parent portal as they likely are not a finalized version. We will turn schedule access back on once Mrs. Colwell has a chance to check and double check each one to make sure all students are placed in the correct classes. ☑️ Please forgive us for any confusion that this caused! HS Volleyball: Two-A-days will start August 4th for volleyball! We can’t wait to see everyone there and ready to work! Practices are mandatory as we already have scrimmages the first week of practices. You must have a physical on file in order to practice. Coach Q. will post the volleyball schedule once all games have been confirmed.
Water Valley Cross Country: HS practice will start Aug 4th at 6 am, Monday-Friday. We will still meet at the concession stand. I have seen several out running on their own, and that’s wonderful. If you haven’t started running, you definitely should. I look forward to a great year. Times may be adjusted as we get started.

Water Valley Athletics: We hope everyone has had a great summer. But it is close to time for summer to end and football to begin!! Hopefully everyone will show up ready to go!! If you haven’t been getting out and being active, we advise that you start doing a little bit of stretching and running to get ready.

We are excited to welcome Ashley Long to the Water Valley ISD family as a new elementary teacher!
Ashley brings 7 years of teaching experience in elementary education and a passion for combining structure with creativity. In her own words:
"I am someone who loves a good spreadsheet and digging into data, but don't be surprised if you also catch me with glitter, streamers, and a creative twist on just about everything. Can’t wait to get started as a Water Valley Wildcat and bring both structure and sparkle to the team!"
Outside the classroom, Ashley is a wife to Mason and proud mom to Bryson and Jentry. She enjoys photography, attending sporting events, and listening to audiobooks.
