Important information for Seniors! Graduation 2025 Information: Congratulations graduates!! Listed below is some information regarding graduation day activities. Please contact Mrs. Ontiveroz or Mrs. Sims with any questions. ● Graduation practice will be at 9:00 am on May 23rd. Please be prompt. Attendance is mandatory in order to participate in the graduation ceremony. ● All graduates should plan to be at WVHS by 6:15 pm on the 23rd to get ready for graduation. We will meet in Mrs. Gomez’s room. ● At a minimum, dress and grooming standards for graduation must conform to the school dress code. Additionally, the following dress requirements will apply: o Gentlemen must wear pants, not shorts, and a buttoned collar shirt. Your graduation gown will look best if you wear a tie. Wear close toed shoes or boots. o Ladies should wear slacks or a dress that is of appropriate length. No flip-flops or slides please. o Mortarboards and gowns may not be decorated or embellished in any way. ● Class funds will be used to purchase 15 red roses for each graduate. Graduates are encouraged not to plan to hand out more than 15 roses, however, as it becomes difficult to carry the flowers and find the people that you want to give them to, thus delaying the graduation ceremony. When the music for the rose ceremony is over, graduates must return to their chairs even if they still have undelivered flowers. ● There will be a reception in the hallway right outside the middle gym after graduation. Please invite your friends and family to attend.

Day 5 of Teacher Appreciation Week!🐾 Water Valley ISD is burrito-ing our gratitude into every bite—because our teachers are the meat of what makes this district amazing! From sunup to sundown, you wrap our students in knowledge, care, and encouragement. Today’s breakfast burritos were just a small way to spice up your morning and say THANK YOU. Dress Code Update: Lately our students have become lax in following the dress code. While there are only a couple of weeks of school remaining in the 2024-2025 school year, please know that Water Valley ISD seeks to maintain high standards in dress and grooming. As a reminder: pajama pants and house shoes are not approved clothing for school. Shorts must extend past the fingertips when arms are relaxed at the side. Leggings must be covered by a top that extends past the buttocks area all the way around the body. No undergarments may show. Faces must be clean shaven. Boys hair must be short enough that it does not cover eyes when combed down and must not reach the collar in the back. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding in this matter. Please see the following examples:

Our amazing WV staff are playing a fun game of Survivor, where they spin a wheel and receive a surprise challenge or “fortune” to complete. Mrs. Lange’s challenge? To share who she admires most—and snap a selfie with them! Here’s what she had to say: “I admire Chris for his dedication and strong finish! While most seniors fall into ‘senioritis,’ Chris hasn’t let it slow him down. He’s responsible, respectful, and always brings a great sense of humor. He’ll definitely be missed, but there’s no doubt his future is shining bright!” — Kristina Lange
