We are excited to welcome Ashley Long to the Water Valley ISD family as a new elementary teacher!

Ashley brings 7 years of teaching experience in elementary education and a passion for combining structure with creativity. In her own words:
"I am someone who loves a good spreadsheet and digging into data, but don't be surprised if you also catch me with glitter, streamers, and a creative twist on just about everything. Can’t wait to get started as a Water Valley Wildcat and bring both structure and sparkle to the team!"

Outside the classroom, Ashley is a wife to Mason and proud mom to Bryson and Jentry. She enjoys photography, attending sporting events, and listening to audiobooks.

Water Valley ISD is excited to welcome Chesney Hubbard to our staff as our new Agriculture Science Teacher and FFA Advisor!

Chesney’s passion for agriculture started early and led her to pursue an education and career dedicated to advancing the agricultural community. While this is her first year teaching, she brings valuable experience from her student teaching at a neighboring district and a strong foundation in agricultural practices.

"Hey, y’all! My name is Chesney Hubbard. I’m from Johnson City, TX and a 5-year native of West Texas. My passion for Ag came at an early age. I grew up raising livestock and ranching. From the livestock shows, to judging contests, to caring for pasture animals, I have a multitude of experience and adore each aspect. In my free time, I love to spend quality time with my family, including my 3 dogs. I look forward to the opportunity to be a part of this community and can’t wait to see where the year leads. Go Wildcats!!"

Her enthusiasm, dedication, and drive to make a difference in students’ lives are a perfect fit for Water Valley ISD. We’re thrilled to have her on board and can’t wait to see the impact she’ll make in the classroom and in our FFA program!

Let’s give Ms. Hubbard a big Wildcat welcome! 🐾🌾💚

Important Update: Parent Contact Information for New Communication Platform Water Valley ISD will soon begin using Rooms, a new two-way communication platform designed to improve how teachers and staff connect with parents and guardians. Rooms will integrate with the Water Valley App! Please make sure you have the Water Valley App downloaded as well! Rooms will pull contact information directly from your Ascender Parent Portal account. To ensure you receive important messages, please take a moment to review and update your contact information: Each guardian should have their own email and cell phone number listed. If you're currently sharing an email or phone number with your spouse or another guardian, please update it so each person has a separate, accurate contact. Avoid using landlines. Make sure the phone numbers listed are mobile numbers so you can receive texts and app notifications. We will no longer be using Remind as of July 31st, 2025. All school communication will transition to Rooms after that date, so it is essential that your information in Ascender is current and accurate. Thank you for your attention to this important update and for helping us improve school-to-home communication!
