While temperatures have risen and conditions have improved the potential refreezing continue to create hazardous road conditions. Out of an abundance of caution and in the best interest of our Wildcat Nation we are prioritizing safety and avoiding unnecessary risk for students, staff, and families. Therefore WVISD will have a 10:00 am start tomorrow Wednesday January 28th. Breakfast will not be served.
We truly appreciate your patience and flexibility as we continue to focus on keeping our Wildcat Nation safe. GO CATS GO!! 🐾 ⛄️ 🐾

We've all heard the story... "Back in my day, we walked to school in the snow, uphill both ways." WVISD is just not going to do that tomorrow. Although the 🌞 is out and melting some snow and ice on county roads the below freezing temperatures this evening into the morning hours makes it dangerous and hazardous travel in the morning due to refreezing. Therefore WVISD will be closed on Tuesday, January 27th. Classes will resume at normal hours on Wednesday January 28th.

Stay safe and warm, WVISD Administration.

Stay in the loop:
If you haven’t already, please download the Water Valley ISD app, available in all app stores. This is our primary source for district news, announcements, and updates.
We also use the app for calls and text notifications. If you are not receiving updates, please contact your campus secretary to ensure we have your most current contact information.
When will we know if there is a schedule change?
The Water Valley ISD leadership team works closely with local law enforcement and county officials to monitor weather conditions, road safety, and forecasts before making any decisions.
Our priority is always the safety of our students and staff. When possible, we aim to make decisions regarding delays or cancellations the night before. However, changing weather conditions may require decisions to be made the morning of, and in those cases, we will communicate as early as possible.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to keep our Wildcat community safe and informed. 🐾❄️

We will be honoring our Little Wildcats & Ladycats and our Junior High Wildcats & Ladycats during halftime of the Varsity Ladycats game! Come out and support every generation of Water Valley basketball. 🐾
