Celebrating National School Counseling Week 2025! National School Counseling Week is from Feb. 3rd-7th. Thank you, Christina Colwell, for guiding and inspiring our students to reach their full potential every day! Be sure to give a BIG THANK YOU if you see her around! :)

This weekend the entire WV campus was spray sanitized. Parents please remember to talk to your students about how they can fight germs by covering coughs with their elbows, using tissues when needed, and washing their hands thoroughly at every chance. Together we can fight the nasty germs that have been circulating!

📣📣Shout out to our custodial staff: Mr. Travis and Mr. Richard work hard cleaning our school and helping to keep germs under control. They go above and beyond every day to make sure students have a clean and healthy learning environment. Today a news crew interviewed me and the reporter incorrectly assumed that Mr. Wheeler is the only custodian at Water Valley. We all know how important Travis is to our school and community and I deeply and sincerely regret that this was how the news story was presented. Please join me in celebrating Travis and his long term commitment to Water Valley, the school he is so proud of. We couldn't do it without him! 🎉🎉

Our Elementary kiddos celebrating 100 Days of School!! 💯

For those that don’t know, WV has been sending 5th and 6th grade students to an outdoor education camp for about 20 years. This is only possible due to the support of the parents and community. The venues have changed over the years but the learning and fun continue. We’re excited to partner with the Outdoor School in Marble Falls this year to bring our students the best experience yet. Please help us send the current 5th and 6th grade students to camp by attending the annual fundraiser this Friday in the cafetorium. Money raised goes directly into the outdoor education fund and can be utilized by next year’s group of students as well. You are guaranteed to have a good time. Please help us keep this long standing tradition going here in WV.

Here’s the Spike Fest Tournament schedule for this Saturday, 1/25! If you know someone on one of these teams, make plans to come out to WV and watch some volleyball!! Door Entry -$3 ( Funds benefit NHS) Concession available (Funds benefit Student Council) We will have an award presentation following the last game! Hope to see a big crowd supporting these teams!!! TIA

The NHS wants to help our students, staff, and community spread some love and cheer for Valentine's Day. We have five options of Valentine 's Day Candy Grams for you to choose from and send to the special people in your life or the life of your child. Information and order forms are coming home with your child and can be picked up in the Elementary or High School Office. Forms and payment are due back on Thursday, January 30th. Please contact Mrs. Sims or Mrs. Chapman if you have questions. We look forward to making Valentine's Day special for your loved ones, friends, family, and teachers!

The STAAR testing dates have been set for Spring Testing. Please do your best to plan appointments around your child's testing dates. Data shows that students test better when they test on regularly scheduled testing days as opposed to make-up testing days. We know that illness can come at anytime, and we would never want a student to come to school sick to test, but if all non-emergency/illness appointments can be scheduled around testing that would be appreciated.

Parents, Guardians, Students, and Community Members: Next Monday, January 27 at 5:00 PM we are hosting our first parent/student panel of the spring semester. This is a time for you to ask questions, share ideas, and have an open dialogue with the Water Valley ISD administrative team consisting of Dr. Wheeler, Mr. Fulton, and Mrs. Colwell. We look forward to seeing you all there!
