"How do I print in color?"

"I don't know the submittal password for the Maintanence School Dude, what is it?"

"I have Google Chrome open but it is not showing on my computer?"
Please turn on your interactive TV and open up your computer on there. Google Chrome was most likely left on the display and just needs to be moved back to your monitor.

"I want to download a software application to my laptop."
You will need to submit a School Dude and get approval from Mr.Hoover. Ms.Banister then can some and put in the admin rights to download once approved.

" I have software applications that need to be updated."
Please contact Ms.Banister as she will need to put in the admin rights to download updates.

"Am I able to move my desk and all cords around?"
Please keep all desks and cords in the appropriate areas. DO NOT MOVE ANYTHING.
Ms.Banister tries to go by during the summer and tries to remove old equipment and cords. Please be patient as she is one person.

"What is the difference between Extended Desktop and Duplicate Display?"
- Duplicated – The desktop is duplicated (including resolution) on more than one display. This setup can be useful for running demos and presentations.
- Extended – The desktop is extended across multiple displays. Each extended display has its own unique desktop area (including screen resolution and refresh rate). This setup can be used to provide additional desktop space.

" I have students that need to borrow headphones from the school."
You can check out headphones with Ms.Banister. She has a paper that you will need to sign in order to check it out. Teachers and students are responsible for these headphones. If one breaks, please contact Ms.Banister and Mr.Hoover.

"I need my login for the district website."
Please submit a School Dude and Ms.Banister will send you the information needed for your login as well as a password reset email.

" I brought a personal printer for my classroom. Can I put it on the network or wifi?"
You cannot put your personal printer on the network. You will need to connect to your printer through a USB printer cable. You can order these online or at any store based on the brand of your printer.
Water Valley ISD does not provide ink or printer cables for personal printers.

"I want to connect my office phone to my personal phone. How do I do that?"
First, you will need to download the 3 CX app. It is available on Android and IPhone.
Next, you will need your phone to be on the Water Valley ISD wifi.
Next, you need to see Ms.Banister or request the QR code that you will scan with your app.
To find where to scan the QR code in the app, open the app and go to the hamburger (three horizontal lines) in the upper right-hand corner. Click Accounts and Add. Here you will scan the QR code.
Once the app has scanned the QR code, your phone will be connected. You can then hop off the wifi and be able to have your office phone connected to your cellular device.

"I have voicemails but I do not know my pin to hear them."
Please contact Ms.Banister. She will be able to tell you what your pin number is.

"I have a website that students need to view but Securly is blocking it. What do I do?"
You will need to submit a School Dude ticket with the URL of the website needing to be reached and by what grade level. The site will have to be approved by Mr.Hoover before Ms.Banister can unlock it.

"I need something posted on the website/facebook/remind.."
All websites, Facebook, and Remind postings will need to be approved by either Mr.Hoover or Mr.Gomez before they can be posted.
**Ms. Banister will usually post important information that was released through Remind or Facebook on to the website after it has been sent out.**

"I need access to a particular door or classroom.."
You will need to submit a School Dude and get approval from Mr.Gomez or Mr.Hoover. Ms.Banister will then add the door to your person if approved.

"Ascender is telliing me I need to reset my password?"
If Ascender is telling you to reset your password and you need assistance, please contact Mrs.Smith or Mrs.Randolph in their respective offices. They can assist with the password resetting.

"The copier says my account is depleted when I print color?"
You will need your color copies reset at this time. Please submit a School Dude to get your account reset.

"Are 3rd-6th Graders allowed to use the new IPads?"
The purpose of the new IPad's is for K-2nd use only. They do not have Chromebooks.

"My Chromebook/Laptop is not connecting to my monitor or board?"
If the screens on the interactive TV and the monitor are black, please click the button on top of the docking station with your laptop/chromebook plugged in. This should turn the monitor and TV on so you can see your screen.

"I need batteries for calculators, where can I get some?"
Batteries are located with Ms.Banister. You will need to submit a School Dude requesting batteries. This assists our business department in keeping up with when to order more batteries.

"A student needs to print in color, what can they do?"
A student will need to share the document they are needing printed in color with you and you will have to print for them.

"If I need to take my laptop when I am absent, what will the sub use?"
If you are planning on being absent and plan on taking your teacher laptop with you, you will need to submit a School Dude ticket requesting a chromebook for your sub to use. Please submit the School Dude a few days before the time off.
