The No Child Left Behind Act also known as the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 2002 provides school districts across the nation with accountability at the federal level. Each year both campuses and districts receive a rating based on the Adequate Yearly Progress of students as measured by state assessments. The ratings are simply Meets AYP or Missed AYP.
