    Special Education Teacher grades K-3

    Water Valley Elementary

    Room E3

This is my third year at Water Valley. I feel blessed to be part of the Wildcat family.   I grew up in Eola, Texas, and graduated from there in 1970. I graduated from Howard College and Angelo State University. Because of my late husband's career in oilfield supply and service, I have lived in many places in Texas. I moved to San Angelo in 2020, after losing my husband of 42 years, so I could be closer to my family. I have two children and two grandchildren.

I have been an educator for 38 years. I have taught High School English and have coached basketball, volleyball and track. I have been a special education teacher for 35 of those years. I have taught in Sanderson, Monahans, San Angelo, and Kermit, Texas. I love being able to make a difference in the lives of  special education students, and to enable them to be the best  they can be.  I have been asked many times...."When are you going to retire?"  My answer is always the same..."When I stop making a difference in the lives of children." I still look forward to seeing those smiling faces!
